The last couple of weeks has been filled with different emotions in the office. There is positive change in the vibe in office, I feel it. I am sure you do as well.

One of the changes I have noticed this week is in everyone’s attitude, it is one of positivity.

Here are some things that I do to stay positive thought the day. I hope you will find something helpful here to do.

1. Start your day in a positive way. How you start your day usually sets the tone for the rest of your day. I meditate, journal, and read something positive every morning.
2. Be present. When you spend your time in the present moment, it becomes easier to access positive emotions. Hard for me sometimes. I try to focus on the moment at hand and not multitask.
3. Learn to take criticism in a healthy way. People that give constructive criticism do it because they want to help you succeed—keep an open mind.
4. Live in a positive environment. Surround yourself with positive people.
5. Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill. Break big tasks into smaller ones to not feel overwhelmed.
6. Don’t let fear hold you back. Like being positive, this is also a mindset. Fear can be a downward spiral. Think about the great possibilities instead.
7. Help others be positive, smile, and hug someone. It is infectious.

About Friday Food for Thought (FFfT)

I frequently attend conferences and retreats on entrepreneurship and leadership and while I am away, the J2 team picks up the slack, allowing me to learn to be better at what I do. I wanted to share what I was learning with my team, so I created the weekly FFfT emails in November of 2015 and have been writing them ever since.
