Grateful Living

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with family, friends, football and fantastic food.

Each year, it feels like the holiday season starts earlier and earlier. Halloween candy is out in August, holiday decorations start going up in October, and Black Friday deals start the week before Thanksgiving. Everyone is looking ahead to what’s next. With the hectic nature of the end of the year and the holiday season it can be tough to focus on the present moment and be grateful.

While Thanksgiving is a day that promotes exercising gratitude for what we have, how often do we think about what we’re grateful for throughout the year? Expressing gratitude has tremendous benefits: it improves your physical and mental health and helps relieve stress. Studies also show that being grateful makes us joyful, which helps give us an optimistic outlook for the future.

What are you thankful for this year?

“When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love …” ― Marcus Aurelius

Have a great weekend,

Vijay
