Welcome to the PULSE—and the warmer days of summer! Over the past few months, we turned our attention to the realm of data. Amid continued economic concerns of the ongoing inflationary environment, data continues to be the lifeblood of a business. During any period of upheaval or strife—whether a pandemic, global unrest, economic uncertainty, or anything else that plagues the business community—data is now, and will always be, the compass that navigates our journey. But understanding this basic truth and making it actionable are two different things entirely. Without the right resources in place with the right level of expertise, you may find yourself unsure of where to turn next.
In March, Sanjay offered a path forward when he penned The Benefits of Hiring Contract Data Professionals. In it, he proposed the idea of supplementing your IT team with a contract data professional with specialized expertise in all things data. The article offers seven reasons why your business should consider this approach, including cost savings, flexibility to scale, better decision-making, and more.
Last month, he followed that topic up with a crash course in data governance. More specifically, he talked about why it’s important and the role culture plays in adopting a strong data governance program, with actionable strategies to get you started.
As always, Vijay’s Friday Food for Thought series offered a range if insights and inspiration in the form of weekly musings. He urged us to break negative cycles and nurture the positive ones, find our flow, and embrace failure as part of the journey, and provided valuable wisdom on navigating expectations, challenging conformity, being intentional about how we spend our time—and much more.
From the monthly Thought Leadership blog series to our Friday Food for Thought reflections, our goal is to continually arm you with insights that empower you to achieve success—both for your business and for yourself. We welcome your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts. Whether you’d like to contribute as a Friday Food for Thought guest, have an idea for our Thought Leadership blog, or simply want to chat one-on-one about your business and how we can mutually support each other, we’d love to hear from you! And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Enjoy your summer!
