“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” —Charles Darwin
We are at the tipping point of change for J2. We simply cannot continue to do things the same way. In order to succeed we must get more efficient, think differently, do differently… What we must do is adapt.
Recently you have seen Sanjay and myself say several times to update the systems and follow processes we put in place. In some cases, these processes are new but in many they have always been there, and we have been lax in enforcing them. In order to grow, we must change.
Change can feel uncomfortable at first—it always does. Change can feel frustrating, it sometimes is. Anything you have ever done that was worth doing required some level change. Change can be an incredible learning experience if you choose to view it through those lenses. Here is my ask: the next time you come face to face with change… remember this:
“Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.” —James Cash Penney
Have a great weekend.

About Friday Food for Thought (FFfT)
I frequently attend conferences and retreats on entrepreneurship and leadership and while I am away, the J2 team picks up the slack, allowing me to learn to be better at what I do. I wanted to share what I was learning with my team, so I created the weekly FFfT emails in November of 2015 and have been writing them ever since.
Before long, the J2 staff began sharing the FFfT emails with their friends and family and now other leaders have asked to be included, which led to the creation of this newsletter. I hope you enjoy!
