If I were to tell you that you could have whatever you wanted, would you believe me? You’d be skeptical, right?  But law of attraction tells us that it is, in fact, possible.

What exactly is the law of attraction? While most people have heard of it, many don’t really know what it is or how it works. Originating 2500 years ago in the teachings of Buddha, the law of attraction tells us that we can attract what we want in our lives by focusing on it.

Take Tom Brady, for example. At 22-years old, the then-new quarterback of the New England Patriots walked up to Owner Robert Kraft and proclaimed himself to be the best decision the organization had ever made. Then there’s the story of Jim Carey who in 1992 wrote himself a $10M dollar check for “services rendered,” and dated it for Thanksgiving Day three years later. What happened next? Just before Thanksgiving of 1995 he found out he’d be earning $10M for a role in an upcoming movie. True story.

I’m not suggesting we can simply visualize our way onto the New England Patriots roster or into millionaire status. (Or maybe I am!) The point is, when you visualize what you want, set your sights on it and work towards those specific goals, you can attract those things into your life.

The law of attraction applies to small, everyday endeavors as well, and can take on many forms. Ever find yourself thinking fondly about someone only to receive a phone call from him or her shortly thereafter? Sure, maybe coincidence—but maybe not! Then there’s the increasingly popular vision board that serves as a visual depiction of one’s intended goals and desires in life. The law of attraction can even manifest in less obvious ways in the energy you give off.

Are you putting what you want out there into the universe—be it through words, pictures, or even positive vibes? I’ve seen plenty of evidence that reveals it to be true and plausible in my own eyes. So why not try it? Put it out there every day; say it out loud, see it when you close your eyes. Just try… and see what happens.

“The thought manifests as the word. The word manifests as the deed. The deed develops into habit. And the habit hardens into character. So watch the thought and its ways with care. And let it spring from love, born out of concern for all beings.” – Buddha

Have a great weekend.
