Christmas and New Year’s fell mid-week this year. For many of us that meant additional days off either by taking vacation or the company giving you a few extra days off. The downside to this extra time off is that maybe you had to spend extra time finishing up holiday shopping (if you are like me). I am not a fan of the mall this time of the year-I happen to live by the one of the largest ones in the country and it’s a mad house from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas!
The good news is that you also get extra time to relax and recharge your batteries. There is lots of value in giving yourself time to relax regardless if you are an introvert or an extrovert, both need recharging and feeding. This year was a rough one for me on many levels and I realized that I did not spend enough time recharging. 2019 will be different: taking the time to recharge my batteries is a goal of mine this year and I have already started that planning, I am excited about 2019. I hope you are as excited about 2019 as I am.
My plan for the rest of the year is to shake off 2018, spend time with friends and family and relax and recharge. I’m excited for 2019 and I hope you are too. It’s going to be a great year!
