The holiday season is in full swing, and it seems there are more parties and social events than ever this year! I must believe all this activity is a combination of the restlessness caused by the situation over the last 18+ months combined with the holiday season. Not that I am complaining, except when I want to be left alone. We all have those overload moments during the holidays, don’t we?! Why do we seem to wait until the end of the year to connect with old friends? That said, ‘tis the season to get together, say hello to folks you have not in a while, and to celebrate the joys of the season.
Recently, I reached out to an old friend to wish them a happy birthday. (Facebook is great for reminding me of birthdays ☺.) It turns out, like many of us, they had some challenges in the last couple of years which is why I hadn’t heard from them. That’s a story for another day, but after reconnecting we decided to meet in person to catch up and invited others to join us. I am looking forward to seeing old faces and sharing the changes that have happened in the time since we were last together.
This holiday season I plan to reach out to a few folks that I have not caught up with in a while… so don’t be surprised if you hear from me. ▪I’m even making this a New Year’s resolution and a habit for 2022, because it’s our friends and family that are the true joy of our lives regardless of the holiday.
On behalf of Sanjay and myself, we wish you all a happy and joyful holiday season! To all the folks that we have not reached out to in a while, we are sorry for being out of touch and are committed to doing better. In the meantime, please do drop us a note if we are remiss – we would welcome the reconnect!
Happy Holidays!!
